Southend-on-Sea

Ahh Southend-on Sea, a lovely british seaside town with the obligatory fish n chips, arcade games, rides, pier and ice creams. What a wicked seaside culture! The weather was perfect for a trip to the seaside although not hot enough to swim in this crazy british summer.

The walk down the 2km longest (pleasure?) pier in the world was certainly long, but quite a nice thing to do. Thankfully there is a miniature train for the ride back.

We dined on fish n chips at the 'wish you were here' beachside kiosk and strolled the promenade. Fab to get out of the city again.

There are a few seaside pics here
