I took Nicola to Bristol for her birthday; aren’t I nice?
As an added bonus for a shopaholic like Nicola, we stayed in a hotel directly across from Cabbot Circus, a large indoor-outdoor shopping mall. She loved that.
We enjoyed our brief weekend in Bristol, shopping for Winter-wear (it’s getting so cold now) and walking along the waterfront. Just a short-ish train ride from London, it was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the big smoke for even just a weekend.
We were too busy relaxing and shopping to do much sightseeing, to be honest, but we did check out the impressive Clifton Suspension Bridge, which spans over an enormous gorge. It was quite picturesque actually. We walked halfway across, but were too lazy to walk the full distance.
