Leaving London Town

After 3.5 years in the big smoke we have called it quits.

After resigning from work, a 3 month long festival of goodbye parties with great friends and shrinking the contents of our room into one small suitcase yet again, we have decided to move on from London and give something else a try.

It hasn't been an easy decision, we know we are going to miss the hustle and bustle, the life long friends made and even the tube, but it feels like the right time to try something new. And it isn't forever. Thanks to some flukey luck in the round two London 2012 ticket ballot, we will be back. Heck, we might miss it so much we will want to move back. Who knows? That is the beauty of being able to travel - the opportunity to try something new and return to places you love, experiencing life along the way.

And so in eager anticipation of seeing friends and family back home, we are setting off for Chch and Whangarei respectively - 5 weeks apart, the longest spent apart in over 6 years! - via a quick sojourn to San Francisco on our RTW flight home. From there, we have a ticket to Singapore and one from there to London 5 months later. Time to try our hand at backpacking Asia, teaching English and working at a beach bar, chilling on a hammock or two along the way!
