Our one week break in Portugal commenced with 4 glorious nights on the Algarve in the south - a cute little village, Cabanas de Tavira. With four mates in tow - we set off for a week of fun in the sun!
Borrowing a mate from work's penthouse apartment - we settled in to the apartment before exploring the pool, the beach, the english pub and the village. With 3 rooms, a huge deck and views over the square and pool we soon made ourself at home.
The weather was fab - high twenties early thirties during the day and warm nights too. We relaxed by the pool for two days and read and lay on lilos, and visited the beach for another day where we hired umbrellas and sunbeds and jumped through glorious waves in the warm ocean. Total relaxation. We cooked a big feast on the bbq one night and went out to a couple of local bars and restaurants the others. School holidays had just ended and the place was deserted save for about 6 other people. Bliss!
