With no traffic other
than horse and carts, bicycles and of course, pedestrians, Gili T is
home to beautiful blue waters, amazing snorkelling and a nice backpacker
vibe. Although the influx of visitors have increased resort type
development and pushed the prices up, we managed to find a cute wee
bungalow with pool just over the road from the sea.
Mornings were spent
leisurely over breakfasts of fruit salad, juices, toasted sandwiches, pancakes and omelets, not all at the same time of course, on sun loungers equipped
with cats and the ocean lapping nearby.
A good spot for rest and
relaxation, but not a lot of choice in the budget backpacker fare.
Next stop back on the mainland of Bali was the ferry port town of
Padang Bai.
