I am sure we will always
look fondly back on our time in Kuta - not least because of the amazing
waves, Si learning to surf, the stunning sunsets, good food, nice pool
and OMG getting freaking engaged there!
The story is a sweet one, and made for a perfect start for our journey through Bali, in the
last real country of our South East Asia extravaganza.
We spent over a week
here over two occasions, swimming in the sea in the morning, then at our hotel in the afternoon,
and dining at cute local places for lunch and dinner. Si got up on the
waves, on a successful second time surfing, and bought some seriously
cool green shorts and we generally just chilled.
We had fish n chips on
the beach, local cocktails, wandered the shops and explored the area.
With the weeks ticking by, it was time to see more.
It was time to
encounter a bit more of the eat, pray, love story and Ubud next.
