Melaka is a very cool town

Melaka was a rare treat in a country that hadn't offered much more than good food and some very nice towers.  The river running through the town was stunning, particularly from the balcony of our river view guesthouse, and made for awesome walks in the late afternoon and evening.

Melaka was calm, and although plenty of tour buses descended during the day and made for peculiar queues to the infamous chicken rice ball restaurants, the narrow streets of Chinatown were fun to walk around.  We ate some really good food here, specifically the best Indian of the trip, enjoyed river side walks, reading, fast Internet and a relaxing time.

But we were super looking forward to Bali, and our seventh country of the trip. It was time to move on.
